We Meet in Homes
At Impact Church we believe in gatherings in the home where everyone knows your name, where you belong to a community that truly cares for one another. In this environment it allows us to truly love one another as Christ has guided us and even modeled for us in the way He discipled His 12 disciples.
Discipleship
We believe in the call of God for every follower of Jesus to be a true disciple of Christ, living out their faith continuing to grow being transformed into the the image of Christ. Discipleship speaks of being intentional in our spiritual growth, and capturing the heart of the Father to be fruitful and to multiply. We strive to train and equip believers to become disciple makers.
Communion
We believe in sharing communion together in our gatherings on a regular basis, also known as observing the Lords supper. We share bread to represent the Lord’s body that was broken for us, and the cup of juice to represent the blood that was shed for the forgiveness of sin. In this way we remember and honour Christ’s sacrifice that He paid for us. As 1 Corinthians 11:26 says, “For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
Multiplication of Church Gatherings
At Impact Church as we grow in our faith, we believe the gatherings will also grow in size as we reach our friends and neighbours for Christ. As the community grows we believe in the process of multiplication. Multiplication is seen throughout God’s order of creation, and we believe it is the true model of how God will use the church to reach the world with the message of Jesus. We’ve seen this model in the book of Acts 2:46-47, how they gathered in the homes in verse 47 “And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
We see in the order of creation, the true fruit of an apple tree is found in the seeds one apple produces, that when those seeds are sown in the ground one apple has the capacity to produce many apple trees. We see this as well in the family unit, when a husband and wife have children, those children grow and mature, and one day they will eventually move out from that home base and start a new family, and this process continues from generation to generation.
In multiplication there will always be a moving out from that home base to begin a new family unit that will grow, mature, and multiply.
In the church context this happens as leaders are raised up to lead others. The multiplication factor is seen when new home gatherings are opened to reach more people in their local sphere of influence throughout Austria!
